TEXT LEGEND PREVIEW
THE BORDERS
The city
limits of the besieged Sarajevo actually mark those pieces of "no man's
land" which separated the defenders' trenches from the aggressor. In some
places the separation zone was only a thin wall. The airport was one small
piece of land within the city which was controlled by UNPROFOR From there,
across the Igman mountain, the city communicated with other parts of free
Bosnia.
