THE BRICK-YARD TUNNEL

The Tunnel is part of an unfinished pre-war thoroughfare. During the siege, besides being a passage-way, is was a place where people could meet without worrying about the shells. It was also used by the cisterns which supplied the inhabitants with water. Using the tunnel meant avoiding several sniper zones and at the same time cutting the distance between two city districts.
